Stairs to Nowhere from Macro Works in Color
Almost captures the feeling of almost achieving something, but ultimately falling short. The figure in the piece is crying into their hands, with the tear drops being the only pieces that protrude from the plate face of the sculpture. Composed of roughly 40,000 1x2 plate bricks, Almost is a large and imposing piece. The face appears on two sides of the sculpture, and those two faces are being ripped apart by space. This distance shows the magnitude of despair and disappointment felt in the piece.
